

Meehan is certifiedin Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and BLS.ĭr. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. He has hospitalprivileges at the NorthShore University HealthSystem Hospitals (Evanston Hospital, Glenbrook Hospital, Skokie Hospital and Highland Park Hospital).

Laverdiere Beck for the past 4 years at John Stroger Hospital and now plans on practicing the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery in the North Shore and Downtown areas. In addition, he gained extensive knowledge in both general and outpatient anesthesia, dental implants, dento-alveolar surgery including wisdom teeth, bonegrafting, and orthognathic surgery. He gained extensive experience with complex facial trauma, plastic and reconstructive surgery, skeletal/facial deformities, severe odontogenicinfections, oral/maxillofacial pathology including head and neck cancer, and facial reconstruction. During residency, Dr.Meehan was appointed chief resident and cared for a diverse population of patients requiring a wide range of treatment. Meehan completed a 4 year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Cook County Hospital and Rush University Medical Center. Hereceived numerous awards for exemplary academic performance, one of which was the Omicron Kappa Upsilon fraternity, the national dental honor society.įollowing dental school, Dr. During his time there, he was recognized as one of the top students involved in their more specialized Oral Surgery Honors program. Following his undergraduatestudies, he completed his Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) in 2013. Phil Meehan, originally from Rockford, IL, received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with Honors from the University of Missouri in 2009.
